Even my mom liked it- she's a Death Proof person- and she doesn't even like Quentin and only likes Robert's kid's movies, like Spy Kids.

I know people who wanted to see it but didn't want to sit in the theater that long, so I'm gonna go with its length being a contributing factor to why it did so poorly in the US box officeAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26797917.post-40866075247964890722007-04-24T02:49:00.000-05:002007-04-24T02:49:00.000-05:00I could see it getting discovered on DVD, it's jus...I could see it getting discovered on DVD, it's just that the people who see it that way are going to miss so much.

TWC needs to somehow set this up as a new ROCKY HORROR- maybe not with audience participation, you can't force that, but set up regular midnight screenings across the country wherever it seems like there'll be an audience. I don't know if any studio has the motivation to try that or if it could even work, but there should be some way that people can have the experience of GRINDHOUSE and not just see the movie.Evan Watershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17263250766060234515noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26797917.post-88559703156614587652007-04-23T21:03:00.000-05:002007-04-23T21:03:00.000-05:00The Weinsteins totally jacked this movie up. I'm sure it will on DVD. I notice that Death Proof will be playing in competition at Cannes. I'm not sure how well it would work by itself - it seems to be playing on the fact that it's the back end of a double featuer (starting and ending with bathroom jokes, say) - but who knows. And I'd definitely like to see Machete, I think...weepingsamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11885871104310819374noreply@blogger.com
